The pattern of the top ten hospitals in China in 2021 is steadily changing, with the top five remaining unchanged from the previous one, and there is an adjustment in the ranking of the 6th to 10th. Among them, the Tongji Hospital affiliated with Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology experienced the largest change, jumping from 9th to 6th place.

The top 100 hospitals in China in 2021 are mainly distributed in developed eastern regions. Except for Inner Mongolia, Qinghai, Tibet, and Hainan provinces, at least one hospital in other provinces has entered the top 100 hospitals list, with Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangdong having the most hospitals on the list (13 in Beijing, 11 in Shanghai, and 10 in Guangdong).
